Academic Advising
The McKinney Campus is home to the Cary A. Israel Health Sciences Center, which host most of Collin's Health Science programs. It offers state-of-the art lab facilities and simulation areas, including a simulated operating room, patient care facilities and space for reality-based emergency exercises.

Meeting individually with one of our academic advisors will help get you started on your program of choice by reviewing degree plans, application processes, and answering general questions about our Health Science programs. Prospective or current students are welcome to visit with an advisor at any of our campuses. With campuses conveniently located throughout Collin County, we are here to serve you!
Special Admissions Information Sessions
Information Sessions are offered by individual programs with some being mandatory for special program admission. Check their websites for the dates of these sessions. Meeting with an academic advisor does not replace the requirement to attend a mandatory information session if a particular academic program requires it.

Tours are led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable Campus Ambassadors. A tour takes approximately one hour. Visiting students may request to visit with an academic advisor, financial aid officer, or other campus department representative immediately following the tour (may not be available on weekend tours). Students will need to bring a photo ID to meet with departmental representatives.
Health Science Programs
Collin College's Health Science programs offer degrees and/or certificates in various Health Science professions. These programs are special admission programs - meaning they may require students to complete specific prerequisite courses, submit an additional admission application, take an entrance exam or submit supplemental materials.
Students are not guaranteed a position in any of these programs; however, admission is typically based on overall merit and available class size. Contact Academic Advising for questions about getting started on these programs, or click on the links below for more information.

Health Professions Department
The Health Professions Department offers an Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) and certificates in specialized areas to allow students the ability to build their knowledge and skills in particular health fields, which best fit their career goals.

Our Non-Credit Options - Continuing Education
The Collin College Continuing Education Division offers several programs for quick entry into the Health field, that do not require a degree or certificate in order to become employable! For many people, this can be a great opportunity to enter into the field and then pursue a degree or certificate(s) at a later time.
