Early Childhood Educator

Educating America's Future

Whether you want to be a teacher or just enjoy working with young children, the Early Childhood Educator program at Collin College could be the perfect starting point for you. The program emphasizes a developmental approach to promote the physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth of the children. Students acquire knowledge and skills that prepare them to create developmentally appropriate, nurturing environments.

Coursework is applicable as in-service training for teachers, administrators, nannies and family day home providers. We are a NAEYC Accrediated program.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Early Childhood Educator program is to prepare professionals through study and practical experience to enhance the lives and education of children and families, and to promote change in early childhood education emphasizing a focus on respect for diversity, community, and advocacy for the industry.
