Recommendation Letter
Three letters of recommendation are required. At least two must be from a PT or PTA
supervising your observation or work hours. The letters of recommendation are submitted
via the PTACAS (application) website.
Observation/Work Hours
A minimum of 20 hours is required, with 8 hours minimum from two different entities.
You cannot submit observation hours for one company working at two different locations.
These hours are encouraged to come from different areas of physical therapy. Hours
will only be counted if supervised by a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
The hours will be reported on the PTACAS (application) website, and the supervising
PT/PTA will be emailed to verify the hours. The applicant needs to track the hours
and ensure future communication with the supervising PT/PTA for signing off on the
hours.
ATI TEAS Test
Applicants are required to take the ATI TEAS test for ALLIED HEALTH. The overall score
on the TEAS test will be counted on the Scoring Rubric. The minimum score needed to
be considered for admission is as follows:
Composite (Total) Score = 60%
Reading = 60%
Human Anatomy and Physiology = 60%
Scores can only be reported from August 2023 – April 2024 for up to two times. Scores cannot be combined from two different testing times, and scores from only one attempt can be used.
